Takes any concept and explains it in plain language, the kind that actually helps someone understand, not just feel like they have.

When to use

• When you need to explain a technical concept to a non-technical stakeholder
• When you want to test whether you actually understand something yourself
• When a client brief is full of jargon you want to pressure-test

The skill

Explain this to me as if I'm a smart 12-year-old who has never heard of it.

Rules:

• No jargon without an immediate plain-language translation
• Use an analogy if it helps, but only if it's genuinely accurate
• If the thing is genuinely complex, say so and explain why, rather than flattening it
• Don't condescend. Smart 12-year-olds notice.
